Also can be titled as, "The Moment When Edward Discovered Hormones"!

This is a budding romance scene between my character and Edward Elric in a certain fanfiction that I'm writing. It's a Sailor Moon, Star Wars, Fullmetal Alchemist crossover with elements of King Arthur and Kim Possible. KP will be added in my next installment. This first fanfic takes place during the first season of Sailor Moon and the manga panel happens around the time when they go to the wedding dress competition. Usagi and my Character, Brianna are entering the competition. My other Original Character, Professor Tsuni Moruni, made their dresses. As a way to help myself imagine their dresses, I decided to design Brianna's via manga panel to see what would happen. I also wanted to illustrate one of the Ed/Brianna moments that happen in this chapter. This is chapter three and they've only known each other for three months at this point, so the two of them are not dating. On the other hand, they are "betrothed" to each other for this chapter so that they would have a better excuse to enter the wedding dress competition so as to avert the attention of their enemies (which are numerous since I added more conflict than was originally planned in SM and SW).

This scene as written (now):

Edward Elric tapped his foot against the wooden floor of the entryway to the Aino mansion while Minako leaned against the door looking calm, but amused.
"Ed, acting impatient won't make them get ready faster! Remember what Merlin said about the Professor being a bit jealous of her creations? She's probably making sure that they look good," she told him in an effort to ebb Edward's tide of irritation at being kept waiting.
He grunted and glared at the floor, "Zis is just a stupid dress competition! Ze professor is of ze mentally unstable."
Minako cast her gaze to the ceiling while shaking her head. There were just some people that could not be pleased. Granted, she was quite certain that Ed's irritation stemmed from his sudden "engagement" to her elven friend in disguise. After all, the two of them were not known to get along very well with each other.
There were footsteps descending the stairs and Minako looked up, caught sight of Brianna, and clasped her hands under her chin with an excited gasp. Edward, who had been facing her, started to turn around while berating whomever it was that came down first for being late.
"Brianna or Usagi, does not ze idea of ze time mean anything-?" his words were caught in his throat by the sight that met his eyes.
It wasn't like he had never seen a glamoured Brianna before. After all, Edward had fought along side the elf-girl when she transformed into Sailor Element for battles or training. He was simply not expecting her to actually look... feminine.

Brianna shot him a nervous, irritated, look when she noticed that he was staring at her.
"What?" she snapped.
Edward blinked out of his reverie, "Vell, for one sing, I never knew zat zere vas a pretty girl under all of ze tomboyish actions, no?"
She glared at him, "One more word and I vill- I mean- will kill you, Elric!"
He couldn't help himself; he had to make the final comment. Her angry expression and flushed face of evident embarrassment was strangely endearing to him. Of course, he figured that such endearment was largely credited towards the fact that she revealed a bit of her elven features.
Nevertheless, he smirked and replied, "Oh? Is zis anyvay to talk to ze man who vill become your vedded husband?"
She grunted in frustration and raised her bouquet as she contemplated hitting him with it. She decided against it when she heard Professor Moruni and Usagi's footsteps travel down the stairs.

Oh yes, I can foresee this getting revised, but it is good to have a draft down for oneself so as to better get an idea on what to do.
